August and September 2026 marked an unforgettable chapter for the Kitchen GP team as we set off on a mammoth journey from Queensland all the way down to Tasmania for a full-scale kitchen transformation!
Our voyage was an adventure in itself—taking us across land, sea, and city:
By Land: Loaded to the brim with specialized tools, custom materials, and machinery, our trusty Kitchen GP rig hit the highway, traversing hundreds of kilometers down Australia’s East Coast.
By Sea: Upon reaching Victoria, we made the grand crossing across the roaring Bass Strait aboard the Spirit of Tasmania. Watching the coastline fade behind us as night fell over the open ocean was a moment of true calm before the whirlwind of work ahead.
To Hobart: Driving off the ferry onto Tasmanian soil, we made our way south into historic Hobart—ready to roll up our sleeves and breathe new life into a coastal home.
Once on-site, the hard work began! The old splashbacks, worn doors, tired benchtops, and dated fixtures came out to make room for custom pot drawers, modern microwave built-ins, and freshly refaced surfaces. Rain or shine, our team pushed forward with total commitment to quality craftsmanship.
From highway tarmac to ocean waves and every detail in between, this Hobart makeover proved once again that no distance is too far to deliver high-end kitchen refacing.
