It’s that time of the year again where I like to dedicate some of my own personal time to raise much needed funds for ‘kids in need’ through the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation,
I am grateful for the fact that I can do this through cycling,
Many of you will know that I’ve been a keen cyclist over the last 10 years, and this is eighth time of taking on the 7 day challenge of riding over 1000km including over 14,000m of elevation, this year in the north island of New Zealand.
I will again be representing Marshall White and co captaining the team along with Justin Holod.
Monash Children’s Hospital and Starlight Children’s Foundation
Preparation and training for this challenge commenced way back in September last year.
In that time I have covered some 7000-7500kms on the road - rain, hail or shine, with the large majority of these sessions up at around 5am to get it done before the the work day commences.
Both charities do outstanding work to improve the lives and wellbeing of kids in need and their families.
Between the 28 riders we are hoping to raise in excess of $800,000.
My personal fundraising goal this year is $15,000
