Celebrating Leesa Paull

Taking a moment to celebrate the wonderful Leesa Paull, who was bestowed Ray White’s highest honour, the Max White Award, at this week’s Annual Awards.

To say this recognition is deserved is an understatement.

In my very first week of joining Ray White 13 years ago, Leesa reached out to welcome me. She took a genuine interest not only in my career, but in me as a person and in my happiness and fulfilment within the business.

Over the years, I have watched Leesa quietly shape the careers of so many people. She has been an incredible champion of women within our industry and, importantly, of the administrators and support teams who are so often the backbone of our businesses.

Thirty years with one company is an extraordinary achievement. But what is perhaps even more remarkable is the consistency with which Leesa has spent those years being of service, encouraging others and lifting people up.

Awards recognise achievement, but the greatest measure of a person is often the way they make other people feel and the difference they make when nobody is watching.

Kindness goes a very long way.

Congratulations Leesa on this incredibly well deserved honour. We are so fortunate to have you in our business. đź’›

How much would you pay for a ringside seat at Brisbane’s riverfire this weekend?

Well at this late stage, you’ll be lucky to find a room, with most hotels like the Star behind us, now full to capacity.

We did a quick check today and found that for a premium, there’s still a few rooms left.

If you have a spare $3000, you can secure a premium view at Southbank’s Emporium hotel with only a handful of rooms available.

And for something less expensive, over at Howards Smith Wharves we found a room with a view for $1300.

This is not just riverfire, we are now one of Australia’s most profitable hotel markets, with weekly occupancy rates sitting at around 80%.

Brisbane has become a destination people actively want to experience.

One homegrown success story The Calile has played an extraordinary role in that transformation, this week, making it’s fourth consecutive ranking in the world’s 50 Best hotels.

Brisbane is no longer a secret and it’s a love affair set to continue with the Queensland Property Council, we need 11,000 more hotel rooms by 2032.

Brisbane isn’t waiting to become a global city It’s already becoming one.

I’m not quite sure what it is I love most about selling this beautiful home.

Perhaps it’s the striking 35 metre street frontage, with its stunning façade framed by cascading bougainvillea and lush Mediterranean inspired gardens.

Then there’s the architecture. A clever, beautifully considered floorplan, soaring ceilings and dramatic voids that create an incredible sense of light and space.

Or perhaps it’s the position. A private, north facing corner block that captures beautiful natural light while borrowing from the surrounding greenery to create a wonderful sense of seclusion.

Warm, sophisticated and beautifully resolved, this is a home that feels every bit as special as it looks.

GREAT NEWS BRISBANE!
We are officially one of Australia’s strongest and most resilient property markets, backed by compelling data from Ray White Chief Economist Nerida Conisbee.
Speaking in Brisbane this week, she confirmed we are one of the nation’s best performing economies.
And there was one important message for property buyers Brisbane is experiencing a slowdown, not a broad based downturn.
Our fundamentals remain strong.
Population is growing.
Housing supply remains constrained.
Investment across our city is extraordinary.
And construction and replacement costs remain exceptionally high.
For buyers of quality established homes, that matters because there’s very little land available in Brisbane’s best positions and increasingly, beautiful homes cannot be replicated at yesterday’s prices.
But perhaps the most important message was this:
Buyers haven’t disappeared. They’re simply taking longer to make decisions.
So if you’re waiting for Brisbane to bottom out, Ms Conisbee suggests that may not happen.
Making the current climate for buyers, a perfect opportunity to choose well, buy quality below current replacement costs with confidence of Brisbane’s bright future.
