Perth rents are climbing, and buying is becoming easier.

The median house rent is now $750 a week, up 7.9%. That’s $39,000 a year, and fewer than 2,000 rentals are left across Perth.

On the buy side it’s a different story. There are almost three times as many homes for sale as last year, houses are taking 26 days to sell rather than 8, and many are selling below asking price.

Put simply, renters are competing harder than ever, while buyers have more choice and more time.

AUKUS is quietly influencing the Perth property over the next decade.

$20 billion+ is going into the Henderson shipbuilding precinct and HMAS Stirling naval base. 13,000+ jobs come with it, and this workforce is moving here permanently, not flying in and out.
