Perth’s Suburbs with the highest social-housing.

Willagee sits at 17.4% social housing, the highest ratio of any Perth metro suburb. Median price: $1.08m.

Hilton in Fremantle is similar. 12.6% social housing, and the highest median on this list at $1.226m.

If you’re picturing “high social housing” as code for “cheap suburb,” the data doesn’t back that up. Location and land value still do most of the work, regardless of housing mix.

Choosing where to live in Perth often starts with one question: “Which schools should we be looking at?”

You need to consider:

School catchment boundaries
The right property within the zone
Your budget and what it realistically buys
Commute times and family lifestyle
Public, private and selective-school options

How the location may perform long term

Being close to a great school doesn't necessarily mean you're in the catchment.
