I then turned to property management and have been a specialist in this field since 2011. After 10 short years in the property management space, I commenced my own small real estate business in December 2020. As owner-operator, you c

I love great tenants. I also appreciate their kind hospitality. Home made Chai tea, herb infused water, coconut olive oil cake and other little ball things of which I can’t remember their ingredients, but were delicious. What you don’t see here is the container of home made rice pudding I also was packed off with. Also a pot plant that I forgot to take, as I sat to chat, eat and drink first. Always a pleasure inspecting this unit 💜🙏🏼

Today I had the honour and privilege of emceeing the REIWA Property Managers Christmas Breakfast at The Crown. We heard from Tim Lane, Policy & Advocacy Officer on the current issues and pending legislation and process changes; Magistrate Trevor Darge was a hoot and a hit, providing insightful information in a light hearted manner on court proceedings from the judicial perspective, to assist property managers. We also heard from Sharon, a success story from the Salvo’s Beacon programme, turning her life around from a victim of domestic violence to obtaining Masters degrees and committing to helping others. Last but not least, we finished with Joseph Shannon from The Efficiency Co, giving guidance on goal setting and guidance as to where we as individuals and the industry are headed in 2026. A few interactive quizzes along the way provided light relief to end the morning. Thank you REIWA and the Events team for an outstanding end to the year. We hope the Salvos were pleased with the generous Christmas gifts donated by attendees for children in need.

It’s been difficult to update my Google business page, due to their verification process not aligning with my ability to do a video that meets their requirements and I can’t communicate with anyone directly (12 Tasks of Asterix, Bureaucratic House kind of situation 🙄). This means unfortunately I’m unable to access the page and respond to reviews. This morning I’ve received this review from someone who is unknown to me and am unable to provide a polite reply. It’s been reported to Google, but just putting it out there that these types of people walk amongst us.😏

I was proud to be a pitch side sponsor of Inglewood United Football Club this year. Sporting clubs rely heavily on sponsorships for upkeep of their grounds as well as referee, coaching staff and player match payments. As an avid supporter of my son playing in the Firsts Team, I made many friendships and enjoyed a couple of weekends away when the travelling distance was onerous. The lad scooped a couple of major awards this year, but will be moving on and playing for a different club back in NPL fixtures. I will miss my time as part of the Inglewood United family, and wish them all the best next season in their endeavours to re-enter the NPL.

Over the weekend I discovered I have been nominated for an award with Property Management Partners, a National Collective and Training group. As an industry, whilst we are technically competing with each other, we collaborate on development and wellness. Connections and friendships are made Australia-wide. Whilst some like to tear us down on social media and other public avenues through ignorance of the role and lack of self accountability, we champion and support each other. Congratulations to all the nominees, you are amazing at what you do.
