'Flight' - 118 Talavera Road, Macquarie Park

Inspired by several duck crossing signs alongside adjacent roads, ‘Flight’ was conceived to highlight the urbanisation of Macquarie Park, and the diminishing extent of wildlife habitats and corridors – with these sculptures as a reminder to the community of the fragility of natural systems. ‘Flight’ symbolises departure and absence, as well as the weightlessness of feathers falling to the ground.
