STAIRCASE INSTALLATION

The stairs. The unsung hero. The friend. They help us with our ups and down (I enjoyed that one.) Solid timber treads, cut and fixed on site, tying the ground floor to the first.

It looks simple. It isn't. Every tread has to land within a couple of millimetres of the last one, because if it doesn't you feel it underfoot for the next thirty years. Get it right and nobody ever notices it. That is the whole point.

Scaffold and cladding.
Every development has a week where it turns a corner in your head.
For me it's this one. Scaffold up, cladding going on. Yesterday it was a frame you had to explain to people. Today you can drive past with someone in the passenger seat and not say anything at all.
Scaffold goes up and the whole site changes speed. Cladders, roofers and window crews stop waiting on each other and just get on with it.
Then the cladding starts and the building gets its face. This is the first week you can stand across the road and see what a buyer will see.

Windows in.

Last week you could stand in any of these rooms and feel the weather. This week you stand in them and, well... you can't feel the weather unless you want to.

It matters more than it looks, too. Once a building is sealed, the trades inside keep working no matter what the Gold Coast weather is doing. For anyone with money in a project, that's the week the risk drops. I said drop, not disappear. However, with good management and the right team that risk is well managed. The windows going in always helps, though.

Looking forward to being able bring these 6 townhouses at The Terrace Southport to life and to new owners in Q3/Q42026. Yes, they are for sale!
