One of the most misunderstood parts of the Auction process is the use of vendor bids.
Particularly in a one bidder Auction, vendor bids should be used strategically and at the right level to help facilitate a sale—not simply to chase an unrealistic price expectation.

When vendor bids are placed at the correct level, they can provide clarity and confidence to both the buyer and vendor. When used poorly, they can quickly highlight a disconnect between vendor expectations and where the market is prepared to transact.
