Winning Collaboration on Fortis' LMR Project in Rose Bay

We are proud to be part of the successful team working on Fortis’ new multi-residential development in Rose Bay. In collaboration with MHNDUnion and Urbis, we navigated the Section 34 approval process under the SEPP LMR policy. Our contribution focused on demonstrating how the proposed development aligns with the area’s future character, ensuring it fits within the Authorities’ and community’s vision.

Enhancing Industrial Proposals through Urban Design

Urban design can play a crucial role in the success of industrial development proposals. A notable example is the recent victory by Kennards Self Storage in the Land and Environment Court. In close collaboration with the client and design architect, beneficial modifications were made to the design regarding landscaping, setbacks, building height, and facades, enabling approval for what will be a significantly expanded facility in Miranda’s industrial valley.

Western Sydney Aerotropolis: Advancing Urban Development with ESR Kect

Our successful collaboration with ESR, a global leader in industrial development, has secured Development Approval for a cutting-edge warehouse and distribution centre in the heart of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. This facility spans over 13,000 sqm and is strategically situated in an area designated for such industrial uses, minimising conflicts with residential developments.

Our urban design team has focused on enhancing the site’s entrance to address the council’s concerns about visual impact and landscaping. Despite meeting all planning requirements, the client had to seek court approval for the scheme.

This project represents one of two significant ESR developments in the Aerotropolis, with another larger facility currently in the court process. With our strong ties to the region, we look forward to further contributing to the sustainable growth and vibrancy of Greater Western Sydney.

Celebrating the Launch of Narwee’s New Childcare Centre

The recent Open Day provided local families with the opportunity to tour the vibrant spaces of the new childcare centre, designed to accommodate over 80 children. The centre features spacious play areas, high-quality facilities, including an ample outdoor play space, convenient parking, and a well-equipped staff kitchen, all designed to provide an excellent childcare experience.

We are touched by the building’s commemorative plaque, which notes the Client’s appreciation for the architectural and building services that brought their vision to life.

The first development consent granted by the court under the LMR controls for our client.

It has been our pleasure to work alongside our client, Orosi, in partnership with GSA Planning and Mills Oakley. Together, we successfully gained approval from the Land and Environment Court for its superb luxury multi-residential project in Rose Bay.

Clear thinking in policy uncertainty

Dickson Rothschild prepared this planning proposal 10 years ago in Sydney’s inner west, a precinct plagued by poor and uncertain planning policies. The proposed TOD precinct included residential, retail, civic uses and transport infrastructure. Our suggested uplift is happening now.

Successful DA Approval for Mixed-Use TOD in Wollongong

Dickson Rothschild are pleased to have worked with the Trustees of the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong to gain DA approval for this 16-storey mixed-use building within the “Rail Arrival and Southern District” precinct of Wollongong.

We worked closely with design architects, PRD, to address Council design concerns such as updating the podium design for a superior street entrance and street interface, and we prepared an urban design study to demonstrate the appropriateness of the tower design against existing and emerging building heights, massing, bulk and scale, and community open space.
