Matt Sharpham👇

Matt Sharpham is a dedicated Tamworth local with a deep connection to the community and a strong track record in both public service and private enterprise. Raised in Tamworth, with strong family connections to TRC, Matt completed his schooling here before pursuing further studies and returning in 2006 to build a life and career in the region he loves.

Beginning his career in aviation with QantasLink, where he started his trade 22 years ago, Matt Sharpham developed a strong foundation in discipline, teamwork, and service. This experience was followed by a 16-year career as a public servant with the NSW Police, where he gained valuable insights into the importance of transparency, accountability, and community safety.

In addition to his public service, Matt is a successful small business owner in Tamworth and overseas, understanding firsthand the challenges and opportunities faced by local entrepreneurs. This diverse professional background gives Matt a unique perspective on the needs of both residents and businesses in the Tamworth region.

Beyond his professional life, Matt is committed to making a positive impact on the world. As a volunteer, he leads teams into Zambia, working to improve the education and health of young vulnerable children. This experience has deepened his belief in the importance of community and the power of collective effort to bring about meaningful change.

Married with two children, Matt is also a hobby farmer, amateur musician, and traveller. He has lived in two of the smaller villages within the Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) Local Government Area and is committed to ensuring that these communities are not forgotten.

Matt Sharpham is running for Tamworth Regional Council with a clear focus on transparency, prosperity, and community. He is dedicated to restoring trust in local government, supporting local businesses, and creating a fair and inclusive environment for all residents. With his diverse experience and deep roots in the region, Matt is ready to lead Tamworth into a brighter future.
