Progress continues on Wilton High School and Wilton Ridge Public School, with construction moving ahead towards welcoming students in Term 1, 2027.

Major milestones have recently been achieved including completed roof panels on the school hall, window installations, brickwork, internal wall sheeting and essential services across the new campus.

Over the coming weeks, work will continue with internal painting, external cladding, windows and doors, bringing the schools another step closer to completion.

Once open, the new public preschool, primary school and Stage 1 of the high school will provide modern learning environments for Bingara Gorge's growing community, with Stage 2 of the high school scheduled to open in Term 1, 2028.

Bingara Gorge’s Knit & Natter group run by Bingara Communities has once again shown the true spirit of community.

The talented ladies have been knitting and crocheting teddy bears for children attending court in relation to domestic violence matters. Each teddy has been handmade with care, offering a small source of comfort during what can be an incredibly difficult time.

So far, 29 teddy bears have been delivered with another 30 ready for delivery soon. It is a heartfelt initiative that reminds these children they are not alone and that their community is thinking of them.

The Knit & Natter group is open to Bingara Gorge residents and is always looking for new members. They are also seeking donations of wool to help continue this community project.

Progress is being made on the new Hume Motorway interchange bringing Bingara Gorge one step closer to faster and more convenient travel.

A major milestone will take place from 1 - 9 August, with the installation of the new bridge structure over the Hume Motorway. Once complete, the new three-lane bridge and entry and exit ramps will improve motorway access, reduce local traffic congestion and provide quicker journeys to Campbelltown, Sydney and beyond.

To safely complete these works, there will be overnight lane closures and temporary traffic arrangements on the Hume Motorway. Further overnight works are planned for late August to early September as crews pour the bridge deck and continue ramp construction. Bridge completion is anticipated early 2027.
