Didn't make it to Paris last year before Centre Pompidou closed for its major five-year renovation? Don't worry, we've got good news for you! Hong Kong is bringing one of the world's most renowned museums of modern and contemporary art home! ๐ŸŽจ

On 15 May 2026, M+ and Centre Pompidou signed a new Memorandum of Understanding in Hong Kong, establishing a multi-year strategic partnership, with jointly developed exhibitions at M+ planned from 2027 onwards. The partnership formalises a broad framework across four key areas:
โ€ข Joint curatorial research
โ€ข Exhibition development and sharing
โ€ข Co-commissions and artwork displays
โ€ข Collection exchange

The cooperation also includes a major co-curated exhibition to be presented at both institutions. It will be supported by a four-year postdoctoral fellowship, contributing to the research and writing of exhibitions developed through this partnership. ๐ŸŒ

While the doors at Place Georges-Pompidou in Paris are temporarily closed, its spirit of art and creativity will continue in Hong Kong. Stay tuned for more inspiring cultural collaborations between Hong Kong and France! โœจ
