" We just left your beautiful home in Cape Breton. We were so sad to leave, as it is truly a sanctuary where we were able to rest and recharge. This was the nicest place we've ever stayed. It seems like so much thought went into every detail of it, and every piece tells a story of you and your family! Everything down to the cabinet handles! Your home is infused with love and we could absolutely feel it. There were two little fox friends who visited us every night, which we thoroughly enjoyed. And we loved bird watching and fishing. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you so much for having us. We hope to be back again next year!

Waterfall Season Select: Irish Cove Brook Falls 🥾🌿
📍Location: Irish Cove (Richmond County)
💧 Hiking distance/time: under 100m or 10 minutes
💧 Difficulty: Moderate (very short, but requires navigating a steep ravine)
💧 Height: 6m (20ft)�💧 Cellphone Coverage: Spotty/Unknown (Download coordinates before you go)

💧 Finding the Trailhead: From St. Peter’s, head east on Highway 4 for approximately 29.5 km. You will turn right onto a signed dirt road (the exact turnoff coordinates are 45°49.023’N, 60°40.263’W). The road to the Falls is temporarily closed park your car at the barricade in Walker approximately 800 m to the Falls. This is a little gem of a fall and worth the walk.
�💧 The Hike: These charming multiple-plunge falls are a wonderful hidden gem and are very nearly roadside, making for a quick and pleasant diversion just off the main highway between St. Peter’s and Sydney. To reach the base of the falls, simply walk back down the dirt road about 100 meters from where you parked and carefully make your way down to the bottom of the wooded ravine.��💧 Please note: Historically known as Golhamkitk by the Mi’kmaq, this is a relatively unmaintained woods trail, so watch your footing as you descend into the ravine. While you are in the area, be sure to stop by Irish Cove Provincial Park (located right near the Highway 4 dirt road turnoff), which features stunning panoramic views of the Bras d’Or Lake!
