We’re open and ready to welcome you back!

After a few days of cleanup following the storm, we’re happy to be welcoming visitors back to The Village today!

Our team has been busy getting the site ready, and while you may still see a little maintenance happening around the Village, we’re excited to have folks back on the hill.

If you’re out and about today, come spend some time with us on the hill! Explore the Village, visit our historic buildings, chat with our animators, and enjoy a beautiful September day at Baile nan Gàidheal.

If you’re heading our way, please remember that a State of Local Emergency remains in effect in the region. We encourage you to check current road conditions on 511 and plan your route before setting out.

If you’re looking for fresh, locally grown produce, make sure to visit the Southside Pastures booth! Claudia and Sebastian grow a fantastic variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbs on their small farm using permaculture principles. Depending on what’s ready to harvest, their table features crisp greens, carrots, beets, green onions, garlic, zucchini, tomatoes, tomatillos, kohlrabi, and ground cherries.

September is here, and so are the final three Men of the Deeps concerts of the summer! 🎶⛏️

Join us September 2nd, 9th, and 16th for an evening of Cape Breton music, stories, and mining heritage.
