The Burlington Backyard Bash is just over a week away — join us June 28 for an afternoon of family fun, food, lawn games, and community spirit supporting the Burlington Food Bank and Feed Halton.

Last year, we collected over 4,000 lbs of food for local families and are excited to come together again for another great afternoon — let’s beat last year’s number!

We’re proud to partner with Daryl Fowler of Flashe Gas and the Burlington Lions Club. And yes — Daryl’s raffle is back and a crowd favourite.

Admission is free with a donation of non-perishable food items to the Burlington Food Bank or a monetary donation to Feed Halton.

Featuring:
• Burlington Fire Department
• Food vendors (some gluten-free options available)
• Mini readings with Teressa Joubert
• Mini massages
• Free ice cream
• Face painting
• Lawn games
• Bouncy castle
• Raffle draw
• Activities for all ages

Rest in peace my beautiful friend! What an honour it was to have you in my life - you will never be forgotten and will forever remain in my heart ❤️

In loving memory of our beautiful friend and colleague, Laura King Gill

We are heartbroken to share that our dear Laura passed away last week after a brave and graceful battle with cancer.

Laura was part of the Florian Realty Team from the very early years. She and Andrea began working side by side around Andrea’s kitchen table — with laughter, their little ones playing in the yard, and big ideas taking shape. From those early days, Laura’s warmth, humour, and steady kindness helped shape the heart of who we are and those conversations and shared moments built the foundation of our team today.

Laura’s energy could fill a room. She wasn’t afraid to laugh out loud or reach out to someone in need. She somehow knew how to say hello in almost every language. She cared deeply for everyone she met — both personally and professionally — and she always remembered the small details. People felt instantly comfortable with her and opened up easily to her.

Laura faced her six-month battle with grace and strength, and even in her hardest moments, she found humour and light — always making those around her feel cared for. She was a classic beauty, inside and out, and she always led with her heart.

We’ll miss her dancing through the hallways, her gentle smile, her animated phone greetings, her laughter, and her love for dance music, peanut butter cups, ice cream, and all things sweet.

While we mourn her loss deeply, we’re so grateful for the privilege of having had her in our lives each day. We love you and miss you, Laura.

Our hearts are with Don, Eva, and Claire.
