We are incredibly excited to share that Lennon Recovery House has added a beautiful new vehicle to our transportation fleet, made possible through the generous $50,000 donation from the Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association (PEIREA).
Transportation is an important part of the support we provide at Lennon House. Our team provides free transportation 7 days a week, helping residents get to recovery meetings, medical appointments, employment opportunities, community supports and other important commitments.
With two newer passenger vans already serving our residents, this new vehicle gives us another option to make our transportation program more efficient. Many of our trips involve just one or two residents, and having a smaller vehicle means we don’t always need to take a full-size van. It also means our vans can remain available for larger groups and multiple transportation needs, while this vehicle handles the smaller trips that make up so much of our day-to-day transportation.
It’s a practical addition that will help us make the most of our resources while continuing to provide reliable transportation to the people we serve.
A generous donation like this becomes so much more than a dollar amount. It becomes something tangible that will be used every single day to support recovery and help people stay connected to the appointments, opportunities and communities that matter.
We are incredibly grateful to the Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association for investing in Lennon House and in recovery across our province.
