New Amherst Homes

10/08/2026

Today we had the honour of attending the official groundbreaking ceremony for the newest addition to New Amherst Village.

Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir Csc MonAvenir welcomed the community to officially celebrate the construction of a brand new French-language Catholic elementary school and daycare, opening September 2027. Grateful the New Amherst team was included and acknowledged. It also meant a lot to look around and see our own New Amherst neighbours there to mark the moment.

We can’t wait to document the journey from groundbreaking to opening day.

Welcome to the village.

Fall looks good on New Amherst porches and stoops.

Wreaths on the doors, pumpkins stacked up the steps, mums and ferns by the railings. Every home has its own take on the season, and you can see all of it from the sidewalk. This is what a walkable street looks like in October.

Swipe to see the plan.

The Caldwell Cottage build on Lot 61 is happening. What started as a smart choice by our homeowners back in June, taking advantage of the limited time HST incentives on new builds, is now an exciting spot where we’ve broken ground.

Follow along as we document every step from here to move-in day.

The trim. The trails. The lighting. The pond. The porches. Every piece of New Amherst Village is there on purpose, to make it feel like home. And why wouldn’t it? We’ve been at it for nearly 20 years.

If you love this, or this, or this, you’ll love living here.

We’ve been sharing our house designs two ways: how they were drawn, and how they turned out.

Here are another four, side by side with the homes they’ve become. Same materials, same character, just lived in now.
