🏡 Some condos come with more than four walls. They come with a story.

Today’s showing took me to the historic Westminster Apartments, an Edmonton landmark dating back to 1912.

Built during Edmonton’s pre–World War I building boom, this Edwardian-style building has some pretty impressive history — from notable residents to its distinctive brickwork, original architectural details and, of course, that gorgeous old-building character.

As a condo nerd, I love this stuff. 😂

Because when I’m showing a condo, I’m not just looking at the kitchen and the view. I’m looking at the building, the history, the character, the condo corporation and what makes the property unique.

And sometimes… the building itself deserves a little moment. ❤️

Some people mourn celebrities. Today, I’m mourning someone who quietly helped shape the woman I wanted to become.

If you know me, you know my love for Dolly Parton. My very first memory of her was watching The Best Little Wh******se in Texas, and from that moment on, I was captivated. As I grew older, I realized it wasn’t the sparkle I admired most—it was her heart.

Dolly lived the life she was dealt. She was born into poverty, faced heartbreak, and wasn’t able to have children of her own. Instead of letting that define her, she poured her love into the world. Her words have always stayed with me: “God didn’t let me have children so everybody’s children could be mine.” That kind of grace is one of the many reasons she has always been my idol.

I’ve been lucky enough to see her perform live, to visit Dollywood, and every day I smile because our sweet yellow Lab is named Dolly after her.

She also said, “If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.” Imagine what the world would look like if we all lived a little more like Dolly—kind, generous, authentic, and unapologetically ourselves.

Thank you for the music, the laughter, the wisdom, and the example you set. You left this world so much better than you found it.

Rest easy, Dolly. 🤍🦋
