❤️ Supporting Those Who Served

RE/MAX Cares was given a list of much-needed items for our local Veterans Association food bank — so we grabbed some carts and got shopping! 🛒❤️

We were happy to help fill the shelves with food and everyday essentials for an organization that continues to support veterans right here in our community.

But support is needed all year long — and there are lots of ways you can help too!

🍂❤️ A great way to give back this Thanksgiving!

One of the organizations RE/MAX Cares has been proud to support in the past is raising funds this Thanksgiving while helping bring awareness to those in our community who may need a little extra support this season.

💚 This Thanksgiving, we received over 400 applications from individuals and families in our community looking for support with a Thanksgiving meal.

The response was far greater than we anticipated, and unfortunately, with the resources available to us, we were unable to support everyone who applied. To ensure the selection process was fair, families were selected at random, and we want to reassure everyone that not being selected was in no way a reflection of their circumstances or need for support.

Having to turn families away is never easy, especially during a time of year that is meant to bring people together around the table.

We wanted to share this with our community to be transparent about the growing demand for food support right here in Grande Prairie. The need is real, and it continues to grow.

We are incredibly grateful to the businesses, donors, and community members who have helped us provide Thanksgiving meals this year. ❤️

🍂❤️ Fall Into Kindness

Hello first day of fall! 🍁 A new season is here, and it’s the perfect time to spread a little extra kindness throughout our community.

This fall season, kindness can be as simple as:
🍂 Raking leaves for a neighbor
☕ Buying someone a coffee
❤️ Checking in on a friend or senior
🥫 Donating a few items to a local food bank
😊 Giving someone a compliment
🤝 Lending a hand when you see someone who needs it

Little things can make a big difference.

And RE/MAX Cares isn’t done yet! ❤️ We have a few more community and charity events planned before the year is over, so stay tuned to see where we’ll be lending a hand next. 🍁❤️

⛳💛 One of our favourite charity tournaments of the year!

Our RE/MAX Cares team was happy to hit the course once again in support of Reading University — and even a little rain couldn’t stop the fun! ☔️

Reading University is an incredible Grande Prairie-grown program that gives Grade 3 students a little extra support to strengthen their reading and writing skills and build confidence along the way. 📚

What makes it even more special? The program is 100% community funded, allowing students to attend at no cost to their families. From small educator-to-student ratios and interactive learning to field trips, Reading Bucks and plenty of summer fun, RU makes learning something kids can get excited about.

We’re always proud to support programs that make a difference right here in our community. ❤️

🎒📚 Back to school means back to school zones starting TOMORROW SEPTEMBER 3! 🚸

As summer winds down and the kids head back to class, we hope everyone had a chance to enjoy a much-needed summer break. ❤️

With students once again walking, biking and making their way to school, please remember to slow down and pay extra attention in school zones.

⏰ School zones are in effect on school days from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

A few extra seconds of patience can make all the difference.

Holding steady, but keeping a close watch.

The Bank of Canada has maintained its overnight rate at 2.25% as signs of economic recovery continue to emerge. Growth is picking up, consumer spending remains resilient, and exports are improving. At the same time, higher gas prices have pushed inflation above 3%, though the Bank expects those pressures to fade and says it's prepared to act if needed.
