🏡 April 2026 Real Estate Market Update

The spring market is picking up momentum!

✔️ Sales are up 15% from March (but slightly down compared to last year)
✔️ More listings hitting the market — up 21% from last month
✔️ Home prices are still a bit lower than last year, but many areas saw small increases from March
✔️ Homes are selling faster — average of 33 days (down from 39 days)
✔️ Inventory is growing, giving buyers more options

Buyers: More choice and slightly softer prices = good opportunities
Sellers: Market activity is improving, and homes are still moving at a steady pace

Sales activity in March continued to rebound month-over-month but dipped slightly on a year-over-year basis. The month of March also saw important announcements from the Federal and Ontario governments to remove the HST from most new homes, reduce development charges, and simplify the approvals process. 🏡

The average days on the market across all Cornerstone market areas was 39 in March, compared to 47 days in February 2026. 📉
