Tomorrow you can pet a horse, stand in a lavender field, watch a bison herd, and buy a frozen pie, all within a 20 minute drive of Owen Sound. And nobody's charging you to do it.
Six farms in Georgian Bluffs open their gates Saturday from 10 to 2 for a drive-yourself crawl.
Lavender at Bluewater Lavender Farm. Bison at Snowy Creek. Horses at G.R.A.C.E. Riding. Candles and fudge at The Candle Barn. Sweet corn and eggs at Barn on the Bluffs. Jams and frozen pies at Outrange Homestead.
Grab a passport (print it or pick one up at any stop), get it punched at three farms, and you're entered to win a basket of local goodies.
Free. And the kind of Saturday that ends with a trunk full of stuff you didn't plan on buying.
