Thinking about buying a home but waiting for the “perfect time”?
Here’s what I’m seeing in Kamloops right now:
✅ Less competition than the crazy market a few years ago.
✅ More opportunities to negotiate. If a listing has been on the market awhile, there’s a good chance you can negotiate
✅ More conditions being accepted. You can do your due diligence.
✅ More time to make decisions. You don’t need to rush.
Many buyers are surprised when they find out they can purchase with much less down payment than they expected. Only 5% ! And if you’re buying a new home can get a GST exemption.
The biggest mistake I see isn’t buying at the wrong time.
It’s waiting years because you think you’re not ready. Once you’re financially secure, comfortable and secure in your job and know you want to settle down for awhile, you can start building equity!
