🚒 Fire Prevention Week | October 4 to 10

Protecting your home starts with everyday habits. Here are a few reminders worth saving:

✅ Test smoke alarms monthly. Have working alarms on every storey and outside all sleeping areas.
✅ Stay in the kitchen when frying food. Keep towels and other flammable items away from the stove.
✅ Charge devices on a hard, flat surface, never on a bed or under a pillow. Use the manufacturer’s recommended charger.
✅ Keep exits clear and practise your household’s escape plan, including an outdoor meeting spot.
✅ If there’s a fire, get out, stay out and call 911 from outside.
