I see them stacked up by the compost bins every single November. They’re hiding a rather stubborn secret. I haven't bought a new one in over five years. \n\nYou just have to trick them through the winter. There's one method where you don't even need to take them out of their pots—you just tuck them into the ground to use the earth's thermal mass. Leave them be, let them sleep, and they’ll sort themselves out for next year. \n\nIt’s ridiculously simple once you know what to do before the hard frosts hit.
