Yesterday, the sports world lost a true pioneer with the passing of Jason Collins.

Having watched him through all 13 of his NBA seasons, it’s a tough one to process especially knowing he was only four years older than me. That is way too soon.

While he was always a pro in the paint, his biggest impact was clearly off the court. In 2013, he became the first active male athlete in the major four leagues to come out, a move that shifted the culture of professional sports forever. He proved you could be an elite competitor and your authentic self at the same time.

His courage opened doors for so many others and showed there’s a place for everyone in the game. And yet it’s still an uphill battle for so many 13 years later.

I left on time...then I was 8 minutes late.
If you drive in London, Ontario right now you know exactly what I'm talking about.
The city is in the middle of a $385 million construction season. Over 100 lane kilometres of roadwork. Wellington, Oxford, Highbury, Dundas, Bradley all being torn up at once.
As a realtor driving to client meetings and showings every single day, I feel this. So I wrote about it.
What's actually going on. Why it feels never ending. Whether the Bus Rapid Transit project will actually fix anything. And what it all means if you're buying or selling a home in London right now.
