One of the best parts of living here? Places like this are practically in your backyard. 🌿

Bryden recently joined Conservation Halton for a ribbon cutting at Crawford Lake, celebrating the new 800-metre boardwalk — and if you haven't visited in a while, it might be time to go back.

Just outside Milton, Crawford Lake offers a pretty incredible mix of nature, history and family-friendly exploring. Walk around the rare meromictic lake, visit the reconstructed 15th-century Longhouses, or make a day of it and follow the Bruce Trail toward Rattlesnake Point.

It's one of those local places that reminds us why we love living and working along the Niagara Escarpment.

Wellington County…we need to discuss the new blue bins. 😂

Because WHY is this thing large enough to comfortably accommodate Kristy?!

The new bins have officially arrived, and apparently our little curbside recycling bins have been replaced by something that looks like it should be servicing a small restaurant.

But we’re thinking about the rural properties with those looooong driveways. 👀

How are we getting this thing to the road when it’s full? And more importantly…where are we storing it?! We see countless bins sitting in front of garages in Guelph, people simply don’t have room.

Wellington County people, we need your verdict:

Since we can apparently rename anything we want…

Effective immediately, the area formerly known as Carlisle has been annexed and rebranded as Burlington North.

Residents of Burlington North can now enjoy all the prestige of a Burlington address, while continuing to live 20 minutes from Burlington. Best of both worlds, really.

Please note: this rebrand does not include Burlington property taxes, lake views, or the right to tell people you “live in Burlington” without someone from Carlisle correcting you.

We’ve been calling Carlisle home for a long time, but Burlington North does have a certain ring to it… 😂

What do we think — are we keeping Carlisle, or is Burlington North here to stay?

For anyone already typing an angry comment: this is a joke. Carlisle is still Carlisle. 🍍
