Before looking at market predictions, I would ask four questions:
Are we financially prepared?
Do we actually need to move?
Does the type of home we want fit our budget?
What happens if we wait another year?

Sometimes waiting makes sense.
Sometimes buying makes sense.

The important part is understanding why.

A Realtor's role isn't to make that decision for us.

Not just the homes currently listed.

Sold properties can give us useful evidence about what buyers have recently been willing to pay.

Then adjust for differences.
