Montreal, you were something special ✨

We flew out to visit Paul’s son and spent our days wandering: cobblestones in Old Montreal, Ville-Marie, Little Burgundy, Griffintown and, Saint-Henri

We stood in front of the big red hearts at the Museum of Fine Arts ❤️, strolled through Concordia where Paul went to university (cue the nostalgia), and got lost in the Jardin botanique, which was the most magical part.

Good food, great company and so many steps. Merci, Montréal, à la prochaine!

Silverton, BC — population barely 200, and every one of them will tell you a different ghost story. 👻⛰️

Back in the 1890s this little lakeside town was a booming silver mining hub (hence the name). Thousands of people, a railway, a whole economy built on ore pulled straight out of these mountains. Then the silver dried up and the town just... stayed. Quiet, a little mysterious, tucked right on Slocan Lake with the Selkirks rising up behind it. It’s the kind of place that still feels like it’s holding onto its secrets.

Today it’s one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it West Kootenay towns that’s actually worth stopping for!

and if you do, go straight to Silverton Camp Cafe Best cheesecake I’ve had, full stop. Sit on the patio, take in the mountains!!!!
