I’ve held hands through tears, tough decisions, divorces, downsizing, estate sales, financial struggles, and new beginnings.
I’ve watched deals fall apart at the eleventh hour and fought to find a way to move forward.
Real estate isn’t always pretty.
And that’s exactly why I love what I do.
I’m Lisa Joy MacDonald.
Fourteen years ago, I stepped into real estate knowing one thing for certain:
I wanted to help people.
What I quickly learned was that selling homes was only a small part of the job.
I’ve helped families sell homes filled with decades of memories.
Guided first-time buyers who were terrified of making the wrong decision.
Worked through markets where homes sold overnight and markets where sellers wondered if their home would sell at all.
I’ve negotiated through difficult inspections, financing problems, appraisal issues, changing markets and deals that looked like they had no chance of coming together.
And I’ve learned that sometimes being a Realtor means being the calm person in the room when everything feels anything but calm.
There have been incredible highs.
There have been heartbreaking lows.
But the moments I remember most aren't the awards or the sales numbers.
They’re the phone calls that say:
“We got the house.”
“It sold.”
“Thank you for not giving up on us.”
Those are the moments that still mean everything to me.
Fourteen years later, I still believe real estate is personal.
Your home isn't just an address.
It’s where your children grew up. Where birthdays were celebrated. Where Christmas mornings happened. Where life happened.
And when it’s time for that chapter to change, you deserve someone who understands that.
Someone who will tell you the truth.
Someone who will fight for you.
Someone who will answer the phone when things get difficult.
And someone who genuinely cares about what happens after the SOLD sign goes up.
That’s the kind of Realtor I set out to become 14 years ago.

I think sometimes we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to have everything figured out.
The right decision.
The right timing.
The right next step.
But the older I get, the more I realize that life rarely comes with all the answers at once.
Sometimes you make the best decision you can with what you know today and trust yourself enough to figure out tomorrow when it gets here.
