Leadership. Service. Community.
Today, I am deeply honoured and humbled to share that I have been nominated for the Leadership Award at the Gala de l'Excellence de la Diaspora Marocaine du Canada.
This nomination means more to me than words can express.
When I arrived in Canada from Morocco in 1994, I was a young girl carrying big dreams, strong values, and the lessons my father had instilled in me: work hard, stay humble, help others, never forget your roots, and always lead with integrity.
Everything I have built since then my career, my businesses, my community involvement, and my family has been guided by those principles.
This nomination is not just mine.
It belongs to my late father, whose vision and sacrifices shaped the person I am today.
It belongs to my mother, my family, my children, my friends, my mentors, my clients, and every person who believed in me, supported me, encouraged me, and trusted me throughout this journey.
It belongs to the hundreds of families I have had the privilege of helping build a life in Canada. It belongs to the incredible Moroccan community that continues to inspire me every day.
To everyone who nominated me, supported my name, and believed I was worthy of this recognition: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your confidence in me is something I will never take for granted.
One thing I have learned in life is that success is not measured by titles, awards, or achievements. Success is measured by the lives we touch, the people we help, and the positive impact we leave behind.
As Moroccans living abroad, we carry a beautiful responsibility to represent our country with pride, to support one another, to build bridges, and to leave every place better than we found it.
Today, I celebrate this nomination not as an individual achievement, but as a shared victory.
When your sister wins, celebrate her. When your brother succeeds, cheer for him. When someone from your community rises, be proud. Their success does not diminish yours it reminds us of what is possible for all of us.
