Last day is around the corner.. thanks for everything Budd Gardens!

Our FINAL DAY will be Sunday October 4th 9-6pm

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been incredibly touched by all the gardeners who have come in to say goodbye — sharing memories, stories, and so much kindness. Seeing familiar faces walk through the yard one more time has meant more to us than we can ever express.

Thank you for your friendship and your business throughout the years. Budd Gardens has always been about people as much as plants, and this community has been the heart of it all.

Today, I lost my first client because I posted a pride picture on my story. It upset her and she told me she had no use for me. I’m ok with that.

A dear friend of mine gave me this rainbow lego keychain and this is why it means a lot to me:

When I take it out of my purse it sends a message. It tells people where I stand. It tells people who may not otherwise feel comfortable, that they can be themselves around me. It tells people who don’t share that view, that I don’t want to hear their negativity.

This small act sends a daily message.

I am the same in my personal and professional life. I want all of my friends and clients to know where I stand.

Today, an executive order attempted to rename Lake Ontario.
We created this bar to keep the name Lake Ontario visible. “ONTARÍ’IO” is an Indigenous name that existed long before today’s borders. That history should not be erased.
So we put the name where people can see it: on a Canadian-made chocolate bar, as part of our long-standing Canada Collection.

It was Lake Ontario yesterday. It is Lake Ontario today. And it will be Lake Ontario tomorrow. 🇨🇦

I just tried this sweet little Vietnamese spot in the Byward Market and will definitely be going back.

-the staff was so nice
-the vibe was cozy and artsy
-there’s a beautiful patio out back
-the food was delicious
-very big portions so you’ll likely bring home leftovers = win!
-so many flavour options so I’d suggest sharing

Eating under a ceiling of lanterns put a smile on my face.
