Established in Pembroke, Ontario – 1908

Cassidy's Transfer & Storage Ltd. was established in 1908 in the town of Pembroke, Ontario as a drayage company transporting baggage from the train station to homes and businesses in the area. Being near a military base in Petawawa,

Ontario allowed Cassidy's to expand its services into moving household furniture outside of the local area. In 1969, Cassidy's Transfer & Storage was purchased by Gordon Robinson and has been operated by him and the Robinson family ever since. Under Gordon Robinson, Cassidy's has enjoyed steady growth and is now one of the largest transportation companies in the Ottawa Valley with offices in Pembroke and Ottawa. In addition to local and long distance household moving, Cassidy’s operated a substantial freight fleet and is a recognized leader in specialized transportation that includes high value, high security and time sensitive shipping. 🕊️ In Loving Memory of Scott Edward Myers

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of long-time Cassidy's team member Scott Edward Myers, age 60, on August 1, 2026.

Scott was a loving and devoted husband to Sharon and a proud and loving father to Justin (Kristina). He will be deeply missed by his father, Lloyd Myers, and was predeceased by his mother, Jean Myers.

Scott is incredibly missed by his Cassidy's work family, United Van Lines family, and the Robinson family. On top of being one of the best move salesmen in the country, Scott was a terrific employee, co-worker, and friend. He cared deeply for his people and the countless families he helped relocate across the country over the years.

Scott was among the last of a breed that they don't make anymore. Old school, witty, caring, and found a way to enjoy every day. We'll miss Scott's sharp sense of humour and sarcasm.

His legacy will live on here at Cassidy's and beyond.
We love and miss you, Scott. 💙
