See what happens before a modular building reaches the site.

Join BuildShare at PROFAB for a behind-the-scenes factory tour, discussions on on-site assembly and CMHC financing, plus networking and lunch.

This isn’t a bus tour. It’s a focused industry session exploring how modular construction works, where it fits in your development plans, and what it takes to move from factory floor to finished building.

📍 Morewood, Ontario
📅 Friday, September 25 | 1–4 PM

We excited to be working with Jeremy and Akash as we move the BuildShare’s first modular development project from planning toward ex*****on.

We met at Jeremy’s recently completed eight-unit building near Bank and Heron to study the finished project, discuss lessons learned, and apply that experience to our own development.

This is what BuildShare is about: bringing experienced people, capital, and real opportunities together to build well-planned infill projects.

During BuildShare’s visit to Fab Structures, we asked how they work with the architect during the early design stages.

Fab explained that they typically get involved before permit, working back and forth with the architect as the design develops and the other consultants do their work.

For us, this was an important takeaway. If you’re considering prefab, it’s not something you decide once the drawings are finished. The manufacturer needs to be part of the conversation early enough that the building can actually be designed around the system you plan to use.
