This summer started with some pretty special family time in Europe.

Then Callum and I carried on for the hockey portion of the trip.

Getting to travel with your son and watch him play hockey in Europe is one of those experiences that's pretty hard to beat. We got to see some incredible places, spend a lot of time together and, of course, spend our fair share of time around a rink.

I've watched a lot of Callum's hockey over the years, but getting to experience this one with him was pretty special.

Great hockey, some incredible places and a whole lot of memories with my boy.
Definitely a trip I'll remember for a long time.

This was a pretty incredible surprise.

Thinking about selling your home can bring up a lot of questions; often long before you’re actually ready to sell.

What is my home worth? Should I renovate first? Is this a good time to sell? Where would I go next? And what would the whole process actually look like?

A few things I think are worth knowing:

1. You don’t have to have everything figured out.
An initial conversation can simply help you understand what your home may be worth and what selling could look like for you. You don’t have to make a decision.

2. You probably don’t need to renovate everything.
Some updates can make sense before listing. Others may cost more in time and money than you’re likely to get back. It’s worth figuring that out before starting a long list of projects.

3. Timing is personal.
The market matters, but it isn’t the only consideration. Your finances, your next home, your family and what you want to do next all play a part.

4. Pricing matters from the beginning.
The goal isn’t simply to choose the highest number. It’s to understand what buyers are seeing in the current market and position your home accordingly.

5. You don’t have to be ready yet.
Sometimes knowing what your options are is enough. You can get the information now and decide later whether selling makes sense for you.
