📊 June 2026 Renfrew County Real Estate Market Snapshot

The latest statistics from the Renfrew County Real Estate Board show that our market remains balanced as we move beyond the busiest part of the spring selling season.

June Market Highlights:
🏡 191 homes sold (down from 210 in May)
💲 Average sale price: $484 000 (May: $492 000)
⏱️ Average Days on Market: 41 days (unchanged)
📈 5-Year Average Sale Price: $486 000
🆕 New Listings: 323 (down from 400 in May)
📋 Active Listings: 690 (up from 659 in May)

Historically, April through June is the busiest time of year for real estate in the Ottawa Valley, driven in part by CAF posting season. Military families posted out of the area often list their homes for sale after receiving their posting message, while incoming CAF members arrive on House Hunting Trips (HHTs) to purchase their next home. This combination of increased listings and buyer demand creates one of the most active markets of the year before activity typically begins to slow through July and August.

While average prices dipped slightly in June, they remain very close to the five-year average, and inventory continues to improve, giving buyers more choice while creating healthy competition for well-priced, well-marketed homes.

Whether you're buying, selling, or simply keeping an eye on the market, understanding what's happening in your local community is just as important as the county-wide numbers. Market conditions can vary significantly between Petawawa, Pembroke, Deep River, Laurentian Valley, Cobden & Whitewater Region, Eganville, and other Ottawa Valley communities.
