What is the difference between a listing agent versus a buyer's agent? 🤔

A lot of people understand that there are different types of Realtors, but in fact most agents act as listing agents and buying agents, just at different times and in different transactions.

A listing agent is representing the seller. Their duty is to provide that seller with support by looking out for their interests, period.

A buyer's agent does the same, but for the buyer.

It's a simple concept, yet a lot of buyers think they're still better off contacting the listing agent to see a property instead of getting their own agent to help them.

Why? I really don't know.

As a buyer, the best move is to hire your own agent to help you with your home search. That way you have a knowledgeable, trustworthy professional looking out for your best interests as well.

Did you know Labour Day is about much more than just a long weekend?

Labour Day in Canada has a history that goes back to the early 1880s, when workers began advocating for fair wages, safer working conditions and shorter workdays. One of the biggest movements of the time was the push for an eight-hour workday, helping pave the way for a better balance between work and everyday life.

In 1894, Labour Day officially became a national holiday in Canada, a day to recognize the contributions and achievements of workers across the country. 🇨🇦 

Today, the Labour Day long weekend has also become a chance to enjoy the final days of summer, whether that means time at the cottage, a backyard BBQ, getting outdoors, or simply enjoying a well-earned day to relax.

However you’re spending the long weekend, we hope it’s a great one!
