💔 Such a sad day in the Tossa house…

Our sweet boy Charlie had to be put down this morning. 😭🕊️

After a really difficult couple of weeks, things took a heartbreaking turn this morning and we knew it was time. We couldn’t let our sweet boy suffer.

Charlie was my shadow, my little bodyguard, my cuddle buddy and such a huge part of our family. For 10 years, wherever I was, Charlie was never far behind.

We almost lost him as a puppy when he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. He fought so hard then and gave us 10 amazing years. I always knew our time with him might be shorter, but I truly thought we would have more time. 💔

These last couple of weeks we did everything we could to keep him comfortable and treasured every extra cuddle and every extra day with him. Unfortunately, this morning, he let us know it was time.

We held him, kissed him and told him over and over how much we loved him as he peacefully went to sleep in my arms. 😭🤍

I already keep looking for him and expecting him to be right behind me. The house feels different without Charlie in it.

Rest easy, my sweet boy. 🌈🐾🕊️

Needed a little pick me up and stopped by Adrienne | Field and Flower Farm and bought myself a beautiful bouquet of flowers and grabbed some zucchini 😂

It’s been a really rough couple of weeks with our sweet boy Charlie. 💔

Charlie is 10 and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease when he was just a pup. We almost lost him back then, and after two years on heavy steroids, our little fighter turned a corner. We always knew we might not get as much time with him as we wanted…but boy, I thought we’d have so much more.

He’s my shadow, my bodyguard, my cuddle companion and truly the sweetest little soul. ❤️

Last week he was diagnosed with an ulcer in his eye and has lost almost all of his vision. Last night we had a really scary moment and thought today might be the day we had to say goodbye. 😭

Thankfully, today wasn’t that day. ❤️

Right now we’re taking things one day at a time, trying to keep him comfortable and savouring every single cuddle, kiss and moment we get with him.

I’ve been feeling pretty stressed and fragile lately, and this is why.

My sweet Charlie. ❤️🐾 I’m just not ready. 🕊️
