Some of the hardest parts of this job happen after the deal is done.

I have a closing coming up with a client I’ve really enjoyed getting to know. An older gentleman, someone I’ve had a lot of great conversations with over the past couple of months. And it got me thinking about how often, in this line of work, you talk so closely and so often with people about some of the biggest decisions of their lives that you naturally build a bond along the way.

You go from being strangers to speaking regularly about timelines, finances, family plans, and what the next chapter is going to look like.

For a period of time, they really do become part of your day-to-day life.

Then the move happens. Sometimes it’s out of town, sometimes even out of province, and those regular check-ins become less frequent.

But that’s also why I’ve always believed Real Estate should be built on relationships, not transactions.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling in Saugeen Shores or anywhere in Grey and Bruce, working with someone who values that connection can make the entire process feel a lot more comfortable from start to finish.
