Residents of Prescott, Augusta Township and Edwardsburgh-Cardinal take note!
Between the beginning of December 2025 to January 7, Grenville OPP received multiple reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles. The incidents are believed to have occurred in the overnight hours. Vehicles were parked outside and in residential driveways in rural Augusta Township, the hamlet of Johnstown and in various parts of Prescott.

Remember to lock your vehicle when you leave it, especially if it is left parked outside. It is a good practice to also remove or hide any money and/or valuables.

🔐 Security and Convenience at 830 Howe Terrace

We’re always looking for ways to make our buildings more secure and comfortable for our residents — and easier to manage for our team.

This week, we upgraded all 12 apartment doors at 830 Howe Terrace with brand-new deadbolts. Some units previously had both a deadbolt and a doorknob lock, meaning residents had to juggle two keys, while others had older deadbolts. Now, every door has a modern, reliable lock, and for administrative efficiency, we’ve also implemented a master key system for management access when needed (e.g., for maintenance or emergencies).

A big thank-you to Kevan Bradley from Secureway, who completed the work with precision and professionalism. Secureway has been a trusted partner across our portfolio, providing locksmith and CCTV services that help keep our buildings safe and secure.

🏗️ Major Foundation Repair Underway at 830 Howe Terrace, Prescott

When GK3 Group purchased 830 Howe Terrace just 15 days ago, we already knew the building had long-standing moisture issues that had caused water to leak into the basement for years. Rather than waiting, we made it our first priority to address the problem head-on.

💧 The problem: Persistent water intrusion caused by inadequate drainage and compromised foundation waterproofing.

🔧 The solution: Work is already well underway. About half of the foundation has been excavated so far, and we’re completing full waterproofing and replacement of the perimeter drainage system as we progress. The new system will be properly connected to the city’s drainage system, ensuring that water flows away from the building as it should once the full perimeter is complete.

A huge shoutout to Mark Rylands and his team at MRC Insulation for their professionalism, dedication, and quality workmanship throughout this project.

We’re especially happy that the residents of 830 Howe Terrace will no longer have to live with this issue once the work is complete. At GK3 Group, we believe in taking action that reflects our values — building communities where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and secure.

🔥 Strengthening Fire Safety at 830 Howe Terrace 🔥

As part of our ongoing improvements at 830 Howe Terrace in Prescott, we’ve begun implementing a comprehensive Fire and Life Safety Plan — one of the first steps in ensuring full compliance with the Ontario Fire Code. The Code outlines specific safety requirements for multi-unit residential buildings, and our goal is to make sure every requirement is met or exceeded.

We’re pleased to have Houle Plumbing and Heating — a trusted contractor we’ve worked with across several of our other properties — now performing their first round of monthly fire inspections at this building.

Technician Sarah Jenkinson was on site this week conducting the initial inspections, helping us take proactive steps to protect our residents and maintain a safe, well-managed environment.

✨ Fresh start for our newest property! ✨

We had Dan Grant from Grant’s Carpet Cleaning Inc in to freshen up the carpets at our newly purchased 12-unit apartment building at 830 Howe Terrace, Prescott, Ontario.

He did a fantastic job, and his professionalism really sets the tone for creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.
