DO IT FOR THE PLOT.

Real Estate Edition.

Agents, what's the most bizarre situation you've ever found yourself in? I'll go first. Actually, I've got a few.

Early in my career, I was showing a house. We'd made our way through most of it when we reached the bedroom. I flipped on the light and there, sprawled across the bed, was the homeowner, sound asleep, completely naked.

Naturally, I was mortified and immediately thought I'd somehow screwed up the showing arrangements.

Nope, she knew we were coming.

She proceeded to es**rt us through the rest of the house as though nothing unusual had happened.

I've had a deal fall apart because of a dead horse and a st****er pole. I've had not one, but TWO clients buy houses specifically for animals that didn't belong to them. I've had to call a client's bookie while they were out of the country because apparently, that was my point of contact. And I've had to fire a client because they simply refused to stop wandering onto people's properties without permission.

Somewhere along the way, you realize that real estate school prepares you for contracts, financing, and negotiations. It does absolutely nothing to prepare you for the people. 😂
