🏡 A Personal Update — and a Big Step Forward! ❤️
Next week, I’ll be having bone conduction amplification surgery, and I wanted to share a little bit about this journey with the people who follow me both personally and professionally.
Living with hearing loss has meant adapting in ways that most people don’t always see. One thing I often get teased about is how loud I listen to my music. I’ve had people joke that they can hear me coming before they can even see me 😂 What they don’t always understand is that, to me, it simply isn’t loud. When you don’t hear the way others do, your “normal” can be very different.
This surgery is a big deal for me. It’s not an overnight fix — I’ll have to wait about three months after surgery to see the final result — but I’m incredibly hopeful that this will be life-changing for me. ❤️
As a Realtor, communication is such an important part of what I do. I spend my days listening to my clients, having conversations, touring homes, negotiating, and being there for people through some of the biggest decisions of their lives. Being able to hear more clearly and comfortably could make such a meaningful difference, both personally and professionally.
I’m excited, nervous, hopeful, and grateful all at the same time. I’ll be sharing a little of the journey along the way, and I can’t wait to see what the next few months bring.
Here’s to new beginnings, better hearing, and hopefully turning the music down a few notches someday! 🎶😂❤️
Wish me luck for next week! 🙏
