Cooks Contracting & Build Co Cooks Contracting & Build Co is a Red Deer general contractor and home builder serving Central Alberta. If you want quality without the chaos, we’re your team.

We do whole home Remodels, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Basement Suites, Garages, Custom Houses. I didn’t get into this business to chase minnows. I didn’t get into it to survive on lowball quotes, “quick updates,” and clients who treat the work like a commodity. I started this company because I knew families deserved better. Homes deserved better. And the industry needed someone who actually gave a damn about the experience as much as the final result.

The client: “So… how are you going to make the windows smaller?” 🤨

Us: We’re gonna need the whole team for this one. 😂

After the garage inspection, the windows needed to be resized to meet requirements. So Dustin got to work… and apparently brought a few extra Dustins with him.

That’s why you hire a professional. 👷‍♂️🔨

Catch the original reel to see why these windows needed to change, then watch the crew make it happen.

Overcoming Excuses: Take Action

We moved our whole family from Ontario to Alberta in a truck, a van, a camper, and a lot of uncertainty.

Drop a 🔥 if you’ve ever had to bet on yourself before you felt ready.
What hit me most wasn’t the 4500 km drive—it was what happened after.
We landed in Red Deer, got the family settled, and booked our first estimates in week one.
Within 30 days, we had our first job locked in and momentum rolling.
The real win? I stopped waiting for permission and started building the life I actually want.
That’s the part people don’t talk about enough—the move is hard, but the identity shift is harder.

It's great to have a coach in your corner in different seasons of life. Thanks Elite Builder Society | Service Contractor Consulting 🇺🇸🇨🇦
Proud of you, Dustin. This is what growth looks like.
What’s the hardest “fresh start” you’ve ever taken on?

If you’re planning on finishing your basement, you’re probably going to want to know what this thing does. 👀💥

Meet the Ramset.

Sometimes you need a little more firepower. 💥🔨

Using a Ramset to fasten directly into concrete. Quick, strong, and oddly satisfying to watch.

👀🔨 Ever wonder why basement framing can take longer than you’d expect? When floor joists sit at different heights, every piece has to be measured and cut accordingly.

A little extra time here makes a BIG difference in the finished product. 🏠
