From hilarious to the completely unexpected, there’s definitely never a dull moment.

Here's one for you:

I was showing a home and we were touring the basement utility room when we came across the sump hole. Totally forgetting it was there as I was chatting with my clients, I casually stepped backwards… straight into a 3-foot sump hole. 😳 One minute I’m talking about the house. The next minute… I’m IN the house! Like, why was it so deep haha!?
One leg in and one out - my client literally had to help pull me back up. 😆

Thankfully, I was completely fine, just bruised my pride. Not all days are glamorous in real estate!

The best part? We still laugh about it to this day! 💛

Proof that being a REALTOR® can sometimes require a little more than opening doors and turning on lights.

🏡 Saskatchewan Real Estate Market Update | August 2026
August brought some encouraging movement to Saskatchewan’s housing market with more listings coming to market and a modest increase in available supply heading into September.
Buyers are still facing a very tight market with inventory more than 40% below the 10-year average.

SASKATCHEWAN • 🏠 1,510 sales — down 3% year-over-year, but still above the 10-year average
• 📋 2,277 new listings — up 4%
• 📦 4,920 total inventory — 42% below the 10-year average
• ⏳ 2.60 months of supply — up from 2.33
• $381,600 benchmark price — up 3% year-over-year

REGINA • 🏠 332 sales — down 7% year-over-year
• 📋 Nearly 500 new listings — second consecutive month of growth
• 📦 573 active homes
• ⏳ 1.72 months of supply
• $348,900 benchmark price — up 3% year-over-year

SASKATOON • 🏠 446 sales — down 1% year-over-year
• 📋 New listings up 12% — giving buyers more choice
• 📦 726 active homes
• ⏳ 1.63 months of supply
• $444,700 benchmark price — up 3% year-over-year

The takeaway
More inventory is a positive step, but we’re still far from a balanced market. Conditions can vary significantly depending on the city, neighbourhood and price range.

Why buy now instead of waiting? 🏡

I hear it often: “Let’s wait for prices to come down, more inventory or lower interest rates.”
But there’s no guarantee any of those things will happen the way you hope or when you need them to.
Waiting for lower prices could mean paying more later. More inventory can also bring more buyers and competition. And if rates eventually drop, you may have the option to refinance, but you can’t refinance a home you never bought.
The goal isn’t to perfectly time the market. It’s to find the right home, at a price that makes sense for you, when you’re ready. The market won't wait for you.

If you’re financially prepared to buy, don’t let the pursuit of “perfect timing” keep you on the sidelines.
