An Evacuation Alert has been issued by the CSRD at the Shuswap Emergency Program’s Emergency Operations Centre. The Bradley Creek Wildfire (K41351) is increasing the risk to some properties in Electoral Area D of the CSRD.

The Evacuation Alert is in effect for the following areas:
Properties south of Highway 97 in the Sweetsbridge/Cedar Hill area as well as properties in parts of the Glenemma area of Electoral Area D.

An Evacuation Alert is a warning about a potential threat to life and/or property. You are NOT required to evacuate at this time. The Alert is intended to give you time to be ready for a possible evacuation. Prepare yourself and any necessary supplies.

Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to an evacuation, however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.

This Evacuation Alert only applies to the properties located within the CSRD’s Electoral Area D. Evacuation notices for First Nations Communities are issued by the respective First Nations.
