At Elmwood, we believe in “Do With, Not For”, and the Elmwood Community Hub is being designed with that same philosophy at its core. We want to hear directly from people who understand accessibility, inclusion, and participation through both lived experience and professional expertise.

We are inviting people with disabilities, caregivers, family members, and disability sector professionals to participate in a series of engagement sessions focused on the future Interconnected Support spaces within the Elmwood Community Hub. ✨

These sessions will help us better understand the barriers people face and identify opportunities to create a more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment for everyone.

- September 23rd, 2026 (In Person) | 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
- September 23rd, 2026 (In Person) | 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM
- September 24th, 2026 (Virtual) | 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM

Huge thanks to Dawn Marie Chometa and Sandra Wegner for bringing their miniature horses, Maddie and Trooper, to visit our Residents yesterday. As you can see, they were a big hit! A lot of work went into preparing and transporting the horses and we appreciate the time and enthusiasm you put into this afternoon. Giddy up!

Today was a special day for many reasons. We came together to remember, to celebrate and to share the afternoon in each other’s company.

We remember Les Holash, former Resident, in what would have been his 80th birthday year. We celebrate with his wife Linda, who generously donated funds for the purchase of the Trishaw bikes. We revealed the new wraps that were designed by Linda with the words she used to describe our staff. The wrap was designed by One Mouse Graphic Design and installed by LB Signs.

We celebrated with the Mean Green Ice Cream Machine, thanks to Linda as well. So many smiling faces at St. Ann’s today.

Spirit Week! Colour Craze Day & Little Library Reveal! Such a colourful day 🌈 Thanks to everyone for their support and work in getting the Little Library built and in position. It’s colourful exterior fit right in with our theme day today. “Take a book, leave a book!” 📕

Trio-bike season has begun! Earlier this month, we acquired 2 bikes from a cycling organization in Sarnia, ON. All summer long we will be pulling them out, loading Residents up and heading out onto the streets around St. Ann’s! If you see us, give a wave!!
