The 70's just hit differently. A lot of what people spent years ripping out is quietly becoming relevant again.
7 design cues from the era that are finding their way back into today’s interiors:
· Vertical / fluted slatting
· Earth tones replacing millennial grey
· Texture over perfection
· Ambient lighting instead of pot lights
· Immersive interiors with mood and atmosphere
· Natural woods
· Rooms that feel warm, layered, and a little more human
The last several years have flattened interiors into minimalism. Today, design is shifting back toward warmth, shadow, texture, and emotion.
Not every home should be stripped down and renovated into oblivion. Happy this one found appreciative new owners.
Long live 1976. ❤️
