A little September market check-in. 🍂

The South Okanagan market is feeling a bit quieter this fall, with 133 residential sales in September, down 8.3% from this time last year. There are also fewer homes coming to market, with active listings down 10.5%.

For single-family homes, the benchmark price landed at $718,400, down 6.2% year-over-year, with homes taking an average of 78 days to sell. Okanagan, Shu. & #038; Rev (1) Okanagan, Shu. & #038; Rev (1)

Nothing dramatic. Just a market that’s asking buyers and sellers to be a little more thoughtful.

And this little family paddleboarding day pretty much sums up why.

We recently bought a fixer-upper right on the shore of Crescent Beach, and we are officially in the dream-in-progress phase. 😂

Geotech. Riparian. New floor plans. A million decisions. A lot of “okay… how are we actually going to make this work?” We LOVE a challenge (it’s an Edgehill, thing, haha).

But then we get out on the lake with the kids and I remember exactly why we said yes.

I love Okanagan Lake life.

The early morning paddles.
The golden-hour swims.
Coffee in my grandma rocking chair by the water.
Summer evenings that somehow stretch forever.
W**e country, mountain days, beach days, and all the little everyday moments in between.

And now we get to dream up a home right here, on the water, for our family.

It’s definitely a project. But it’s a pretty dreamy one. 🤍
