🌳Think mature trees, houses not too close together, kids riding in their bikes, nice walks around the area. Like a movie.

Did someone say Learning Curve!? 😳I have bought & sold A LOT of houses in my lifetime. I also have spent time & money into learning all about Investing. 🏢The Real Estate License was the obvious next logical step. And, hey! almost 30 years in social work would prepare me for anything... right? 🤯

Wow! Being on the other side of that! well, there have been some lessons. I’ve learned A LOT. Especially about myself. Here are a few of the top ones!
Real Estate does provide flexibility... but people text and message at any time! I see an email there... I can’t just leave it. You have to create your own routines, so you’re not in the real estate vortex 24/7! ⏰

I thought I wore a lot of hats in Social Work... Real Estate means thinking on your feet and problem solving on a dime, being logical, yet creative. Clear, but not pushy. There is A TON of emotion in a real estate transaction. You’re the steady. 🧘‍♀️

HGTV lies to us. Renos take time & more money than you think! Be realistic as you tour homes. Can you actually take this on... and can you live in that chaos for longer than you think? Will your marriage withstand that!? 🤭🫣

No truer words. The deal is not done, Until it’s DONE, Done. And anything can happen! Enough said. But remember! no big huge purchases before closing day! 💰

I always expected the unexpected in social work. Real Estate is no different. It’s ok to change your mind. Touring homes gives you information about what you really want, what you can live with, and what you thought you could, but can’t. That’s all part of the process. 🔎
