🏡 Buying a Home? Don’t Let the Inspection Report Scare You!

You’ve found the house, negotiated the offer, and now comes one of the most important steps before making it your home — the home inspection. 🔍

A 40- or 50-page inspection report can look overwhelming, but not every item is a reason to worry.

The key is knowing what really matters:

🔴 Prioritize safety and major concerns — electrical problems, structural issues, water damage, roofing, plumbing, heating, and other costly repairs deserve attention.

🟡 Separate maintenance from major problems — a fogged window, loose doorknob, or other minor repair can often wait until after you move in.

❓ Ask questions — if something in the inspection report isn’t clear, get clarification before making a decision.

✅ Decide on your must-haves — determine which issues should be repaired by the seller, which may justify a credit or price adjustment, and which ones you can comfortably handle yourself.

A home inspection isn’t about finding a perfect house. It’s about understanding what you’re buying and making an informed decision.
