As with most professions, REALTOR®s tend to say the same things over and over, much to our clients' chagrin...the thing is though, they're true.

If you've worked with me, you've probably heard at least one of these...here's what I actually mean:

🗣 "Your first offer is usually your best offer" (I say this one A LOT) → The first offer usually coincides with your listing still being fresh and desirable in people's minds. Once you lose that, perspectives (and dollar amounts) change real fast.

🗣 "If you love it, other people will too" → If something checks your boxes, it's probably checking someone else's too.

🗣 "There's always another buyer" → Even in slower markets, it only takes one more person to create competition and one more person to close the deal.

🗣 "The 'perfect' property doesn't exist" → There's always a trade-off. The goal is finding the right compromise, not perfection.

🗣 "You can change the house... not the location" → It's a cliche for a reason. You can change almost anything about your house, except where it's planted. Neighbourhoods matter.

🗣 "Waiting could cost you more" → Timing the market sounds smart but most people end up paying more or settling for less.
